Programs at RDS

Education

At The Royal Diadem School we strive to provide students with the keys to a successful life, one of which is quality education. Academic performance is the school’s top priority.

Not every child is born in a privileged family that can afford to take them to school. The Diadem Foundation strives to bridge this gap by giving tuition scholarships to bright, needy students and orphans who have no means of getting an education.

Our selection criteria is based on the student’s financial background, academic performance and discipline. Students who qualify for scholarships are expected to perform excellently academically and to also maintain the highest standards of discipline at school and at home.

Our scholarships are from primary school level to campus level.

Mentorship & Counseling

The Diadem Foundation provides a safe space for students to be coached, mentored and counselled by professionals in these fields. The students receive guidance in their personal struggles and find role models they can connect with and look up to.

Feeding Program

Watoto Wakule is a daily feeding program that provides the children with porridge during break and a nutritionally balanced diet at lunch. Since most of the children come from financially challenged homes, the food provided by the school cushions them from sleeping hungry.

Vision

To create a hunger-free learning environment in Enkorika Sub-County, where every child has access to nutritious meals, ensuring their physical, emotional, and academic well-being, thereby fostering a brighter future for the community.

Mission

To implement a sustainable school feeding program that provides daily nutritious meals to learners at Royal Diadem School, enhancing their health, academic performance, and overall development, while actively engaging local communities and stakeholders in the fight against hunger and malnutrition.

Book Clubs

Our passion for books and fostering a reading culture especially amongst young people motivated us to begin book clubs in our partners schools. Jim Rohn famously said that “Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary”. The Royal Diadem School boasts of a well-equipped school library with over 3,000 book donations. As such, the students are encouraged to form book reading clubs to promote creativity and fun learning. We source for book donations from our partners and donate them to school libraries and encourage students to form peer groups where they read together weekly and explore themes and lessons that emerge from the book.

Sports & Talent Shows

God placed infinite potential in us as human beings, but it is our responsibility to nurture our talents and grow our skills for the benefit of our communities and the world at large.

As such, we host annual talent shows, sports and recreational activities that showcase the diverse gifts of our youths, promote cohesion amongst peers and create lasting connections. We do this through our school. Students look forward to these competitive events that culminate in award ceremonies.

Community Service

At the Foundation, we believe in being the solution and active participation in making a difference in the community. We encourage a proactive approach in solving community problems. Some of our community service activities include: community cleans ups, baraza meetings with local leaders to discuss prevalent issues in the community such as FGM, importance of education, eradicating harmful culture, and volunteering at orphanages. We believe in strengthening ties with the communities we work in, in order to raise social awareness and promote collaboration amongst all stakeholders.

Spiritual Nourishment

Building the wholesome being requires taking care of all aspects. At the school, We have a one hour spiritual program that runs twice a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
